This coin is interesting to me. Both areas seem like a reeded edge strike through. The areas in question are much wider than an actual reeded edge which leads me to thinking this was a strike through. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Overall it is in ruff shape. I agree, it does look like it was hit by another coin.

I'm not denying the coin is in horrible shape,With the LDS and all,But still the DI is complexing to me!

@n234, you take really great pics. When I blow up the close-up shots, I can really see nice detail.

My opinion is that this is just damage. The reason for that conclusion is that I can see where the metal has been pushed from one area to another. I'm not sure if it was due to the rim of another coin, but the areas on and around the portrait certainly look like PMD to me.

I agree that most of the marks on your coin is damage.

This on the other hand is most likely due to die wear.

DrDon,we posted about the same time. That is what perplexes me the most. Just to the left of your cropped pic looks like bag marks,but then it continues over the DI.
