I came across a couple rolls of 1950-D Jefferson nickels from a collection I am currently working my way through. I am wondering if I can get some feedback on the condition and collectible value. Including a couple representative coins below... thanks!

First is MS60/62 too much bag mark nicks second may run in mid MS65/66, if you have an inexpensive way to try a TPG, this may be a candidate, #1 no. But For the primo key date, any sales venue will bring top dollar on these. Would love to find a stash like that!

These are LDS if not VLDS with that amount of PIDT showing, that just means the dies are no longer sharp imprints and may have minor flaws we don't see in pix.

Wow ,you say you have a couple of rolls of these ?
Looks to be MS but 1st photo shows lots of hits on obverse . Approximate value $16 - $25 each coin , or if you have an MS-66 FS might go for $100 or more .
Rest in Peace

62 & 64 for those two. You need to get up to the 66/67 range to make TPG costs effective. That depends on what you paid for them, of course.

There were a lot of 50-D rolls put away and they were easy to buy into the 70's.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. Yeah, I have 3 full rolls now and these are just found - I did not purchase. I will look through them and try to find any that might justify the cost of TPG, but it seems clear that these do not.

Moxking, yeah I am pretty sure that these were stashed away in the 50s by a family member and just now found. Appreciate all your feedback. Thanks.
