I love spiked heads. I'd consider it a good day to find four decent ones. I've only been collecting for a few months and my favorite find so far is my poor man's spiked head that zapped the back of Abe's head on the reverse of a 2009 lp2

Guess I don't get the spiked head issue, would you please explain for those of us who may not know? Myself being one of those.

spiked head are called those coins that have a die crack from the rim to any part of the head and it can be a cent , a dime, quarter, 5 cents or a foreign coin also

I think that the early 70s were full of spike heads. I was looking through 1970 D cents yesterday and found 6. I don't think any are listed though. Yesterday I think that I found the same spike head as the second coin listed above. I do not think it is SKH-1c-1970D-02 because the bottom the crack is fairly straight on the coin and curves to the west on the one on the website. Still Lookin

Thanks Uruman, I thought this to be the case but I wasn't sure. I have a couple of uncirculated 1c pieces from the early 60's that look like Lincoln has had a lobotomy.

I posted a while back the UNC 1959 D rolls I scored at a garage sale. Pulled 68 spikes and or half hats! Fun day!
