Hi everyone. These are really not my area of expertise but I'm looking for information on the below coin. I'm pretty certain it is a rupee from India but if anyone can share any more information that would be great.

What I'm looking for specifically is

What year, region, does it seem authentic, sense of value, etc

India, Mughal Empire, Aurangzeb Alamgir, 1658-1707, AR rupee, Dar al-Sultanat Lahore mint, dated 1113h (AD 1701/2), regnal year 46. KM# 300.53. Both dates clear. Mint mostly off flan at top but epithet "Dar al=Sultanat" plain. No reason to think it might not be authentic. Not bad. Value maybe $20+ ebay, $45 retail.

Thank you very much! Immensely helpful.

I am helping out an acquaintance of my father who found this coin. This is one of several hundred he found in India. He has no idea what they are nor how much are they worth. I think he believes them to be more valuable than what they really are, but still, finding a few hundred of these is pretty nice even if each is $50 each.

Congratulations on a very nice coin! For future reference, for best readability, photos of this type of coin shoud be oriented so that the lines are horizontal, curving slightly upward at sides.
