I continue to find some real oddities in the coin shop's "junk" bin.

This is a token struck by The Royal Mint in London for use in British Guiana. The denomination is ½ stiver (20 stivers = 1 guilder). Condition obviously could be better, but I still consider it fortunate to have paid as little as I did for something dating back to the War of 1812.

Have to tell us where yer coin shop is!

My LCS's "junk bin" has wheels on the bottom of a square container w/lids! Well, there and those glass covered elbow rests suffice for his junk bins!

I just picked up a pretty nice one of these for my One of Every Country set. Oddly mine appears to be have an old silvering on it.

Pretty interesting history on this little place in South America.
