If anyone could post a picture of the 1796 S-NC 3 Large cent page in Noyes book or Sheldon's or if someone could tell me how to attribute this variety that would be great.

Looking at pictures on Heritage, I am seeing a raised bump to the left of Miss Liberty's hair right under her bow. But that is the only thing I am seeing that sets this variety apart from all the others! Please help!

Thanks in advance,
Devin

Here are the images from the Dan Holmes sale. First thing to look for is the gap between the ends of the wreath. First the end of the right branch terminates in a double leaf. On NC-3 the center of that gap is below the center of the S or slightly to the right of center. The only other variety that come even comes close to that is NC-7. NC-7 has a stemless wreath. No other variety with the right branch that it terminates in a double leaf is further right than below the serif of the S. a second diagnostic point it is the only variety that has a point of leaf directly below the center of the first A in America.
