I see that you are still able to find a few Canadian Vickies on your island that is about as far from Canada that you can get. BTW, for other folk's knowledge. I sent fourmack about 40-50 Vicky large cents in a prescription medication tube inside a box for just the price of postage to New Zealand. It never arrived so be careful about sending stuff Canada Post to there. They were in my "golfball marker" jar, so they were VG or below, but still nice to look through for varieties .. I never check those below F and some of what I consider "vanilla" coins are scarce in the Haxby hunt. It was, I think, about $17 surface or $45 air and another $20 to insure for insurance and signature... I really feel bad for our Kiwi friend to be out some dollars for nothing. He'll get something to cheer him up in a month or so .. have a box to go through.

The vine loop 7 looks like a wide gap. I think it's a J reverse Don.

The obverse 47 and 47a are paired with J6 and both of those obverse dies have the broken A in REGINA.

Loop 2 looks kind of like J6, but I'm not sure if the stem to leaf 9 is quite right.

Is there any repunching of the O in ONE like on the J6?

When you consider how the wear on this coin would affect some of the visible re-punching on the O and details of stem 9, I believe it is a J6 reverse, probably paired with Obverse 47 (based on the die states).

Interesting how coin wear can change the appearance of or hide details on a coin. When I first saw your post, I thought it might be something new.

Don, I hope the coins from Okie turn up eventually. Sometimes things get held up in the mail for a few months. I've had that happen.

fourmack: I think one of those tubes holds over 40 but less than 50.
