I opened a couple rolls of 2018 d pennies and found a couple that have some weird bumps inbetween the letting america and the rim of coin. Not sure what the bumps are. They kinda look like air bubbles to me.
What you see are occluded gas bubbles trapped under the plating, quite common with the modern zincoln and not considered error. It's a spender. Good Eye for catching that.
