Is this 1971-S Lincoln Cent assuredly an impaired proof? I think proofs can be identified by the rim, correct? I just don't know exactly what the rim is supposed to look like. Pre-1975 cents seem hard to identify when it comes to proofs.

Maybe these will help. Note the edge, BS is rounded at the edge and at the field, Proofs are more square, and rim is even thicknessall around.

From what I see it is a proof, surface is more polished but scratched, rim is squared and note the evenness around.

Pending further information, it looks like a proof to me.

I agree. What shows of the edge does look squared.

Because of the 2x2, it is glaring way too much when I try to zoom out, and I'm too lazy to remove it, so hopefully these pictures will help. Thanks for the help!
