i have some ICCS certified coins that I would like to get into PCGS slabs...my issue is they are in pretty old ICCS holders and I wouldn't want to cross certain coins unless they upgraded. so my question is will PCGS cross-grade ICCS coins? and if so, can you get them to only crack out and certify them if they reach a specified grade? thanks for the help!

I believe you can specify a minimum grade and PCGS won't remove them from an ICCS holder unless they believe the coin will grade equal or higher.
Cost? Don't know.
But at a minimum you'll have S&H both direction.

Yes you can cross grade ICCS coins, no you cannot say that they have to upgrade to cross. You can have them cross at the current grade or a lower grade or any grade, but you cannot put down a higher grade as the minimum grade.
Rest in Peace

The more you can do at one time, the less per coin you pay for invoice and shipping cost.

thanks everyone..so what about sending a whole set? the main piece of the submission would be a 1937 specimen set, but would I be able to request they only cross-grade them if all 6 coins crossed? cause it'd be odd potentially having some coins still ICCS graded and some PCGS graded..

You mean 6 individual coins that make up a set?

Generally no you can't say only cross one if they all cross, and generally they won't all cross. It's not out of the question that you could work something out with them for that to happen, but it'd be a waste of money as they would charge you for all of them and the odds are against them all crossing

well to be fair it is not an assembled set..it is a set of 6 coins that were originally issued together to make a 1937 mirror specimen set of coins..our equivalent of if you sent a 1937 proof set..only thing is they're all in old ICCS holders(with consecutive cert numbers)

if that changes anything though, I don't know..

It doesn't change anything. I was really just confirming that it wasn't one large set that is all in a single multi coin style holder which from your reply it's not.
