A ladder note is something like 1234567 or 2345678 with the first example most desirable, and value

Special serial numbers are collected by many individuals and as stated some may be more desirable than others due to there eye appeal
In regards to ladder notes there are ascending ladders, descending ladders, and ascending/descending ladders.
As examples, an ascending ladder would be 1234567 or 3456789
a descending ladder would be 7654321 or 9876543 and an ascending /descending ladder would be 1234321 or 6789876
Catalogue prices are always a guide but the more appealing the better the price a seller will usually get or a buyer have to pay

Close, but no cigar. If that 5 was a 1, that would be of interest, but still no premium for this note, its worth $50. Serial number people are very particular about their numbers.

The serial number is nothing special but that fact you looked at it and posted here is a great start to finding something worth more than face value
