Hello Coin Community,

Found a 1972 LMC DDO and need help identifying which one it could be. I've searched multiple variants but could not find one that exactly matched. Whats throwing me off is that die gouge or crack running horizontally from his upper lip and through his ear. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks again for your assistance.

Hey John1,
I noticed two things right away with this one, the die mark or gauge behind his ear and doubling of his nose, almost looks like he has two.

It is not 002 on CC's site. The nose thing looks like MD.

I very well could be wrong!

Not the first time that's happened and definitely not the last (LOL!)

Must be camera angles?

I went especially by pic # 1 and it looked like doubling especially on the "IN GOD W "

Looked like possibly Wexlers Stage B?

Thanks for all the feedback, now you see why us common folks have trouble. I think its a pretty cool coin cause this one kind of jumped out from the rest, especially with the ear piercing. I think its time to take a break cause I'm starting to see something on the reverse now, its probably more MD on the EPU. Thanks again guys..

Looks like a normal die with Machine Doubling on both sides of the coin. Not seeing a doubled die.

Something I noticed on my tablet is, that your coin is a late EDS coin. From a fresher than normal die state. I would keep it for that.
