Older wheats are hard to pick out doubled dies. Oh great ones what do you think?

1929-D-Lwc-Fingers-Crossed-On-Wdd0-001 can anybody tell me why the reverse downloaded perfectly and the obverse asked to be cropped? to me they are mainly the same.

I can't see any doubling. I don't know if it is due to image quality or coin condition or if it just isn't a doubled die.

Coin polishing reduces the tops of the devices. When this happens, it takes about three layers off the coin. Leaving a normal coin look wider. With the polishing, it is pretty much a cull coin.

First, the answer is no, it does not look like WDDO-001. The mint mark for that DDO is further to the left than on your coin. See photo showing that the mint mark sits even with the 9 but fully to the left of the 2.

I put in a couple more photos to show the key spots to look for this DD0. Even on a pretty worn coin usually one of these areas will show up, especially the notches on the ends of the bars on the E of WE. Sorry about image quality but didn't take it out of the 2x2 for the pics.

Thanks for all your help. My camera could not do the coin justice. I've got a whole bucket full of error coins and I'm searching every day. I'll be sending in the most interesting ones. I've been sending the most common ones back into circulation for other CRH to find.
