Oooooh. Very, very nice.

Even by European standards, I think this one grades stempelglanz, Select Uncirculated. It would not surprise me to see MS65 on the NGC slab.

Superdave you have just made my day ! It is graded MS-63 by NGC. I keep thinking of the journey this coin had while preserving such superb quality. Cheers.

I can't determine the degree of remaining luster from the pics; lack of luster could potentially have limited the grade. Things could be hiding in the fields which don't show. But, it's a massive strike with no weaknesses.

I just returned from Europe looking at many of the Ferdinand varieties. This is by far the nicest I had seen. I will keep this one for the future generation.
