Swamp, good question. But I think it is a simple stress crack at this stage. A retained chip is associated with cracks because that is where the chip came off of, the edge's of a crack. Those chippings tend to be more rounded (after strikings). This would definitely be an early stage candidate! But not fully sure as to an RIDB....yet?

Thanks Crazyb.. I have a couple / few, both similar and more rounded, I'm unsure about what to call 'em that I'll post for review after a USB 'scope arrives n gets operational.. Looking forward to hearing group chatter & determinations on them..
