I collect Provincial coins and I'm thinking about buying a newfoundland 5 cent piece graded as MS with Cameo by ICCS.

How rare are cameos on the 1938-1947 series? (Does anyone have the ICCS population figures?)

What premium would be fair for a cameo?

Cameo finishes on that series just mean those coins were struck by early dies... given the low mintages and low numbers of dies used, cameo strikes are somewhat scarce...

I collected/collect the same series and prefer as much Cameo as I can get as well. I ended up going with much higher end PCGS pieces as most of them(not all) had at least what ICCS would consider cameo while not paying a premium for it. I'm not exactly the biggest PCGS fan when it comes to Canadian coins but I do like them for when I'm looking for flashy mint state Canadian coins and all mint state Canadian copper.
