Quite a difference in the pictures.
PCGS pictures show lots of fine scratches, mostly with the same orientation, your pictures nowhere as near as critical.
Some luster remains, stars evenly and well struck up.

AU55, comments: fine scratches.

Still a reasonably nice coin.

I'm assuming those scratches are still there somewhere, so I'll say MS details.

@SilverDollar. I'm a total novice but trying to learn as much as I can. What makes you say this coin is harshly cleaned? What's your tip off? That didn't even cross my mind when I saw it.

Edit: Is it the fine scratches?

Those hairlines make the coin look like it was scrubbed with a Brillo pad. The large amount of hairlines warrant a cleaned grade.
They could be die polish lines, but they don't appear that way. Raised lines are die polish lines, and incuse lines are hairlines.
