Hello all, my name is Andrew and I've been collecting old coins since I was young (31 now) but I've never really known much about them (except to check for 1943 copper pennies, duh right?). My grandpa got me into it and I inherited his old collection (mostly wheaties, 1900's and after so nothing too old), but stopped somewhere between middle/high school because I was too cool or I thought it was nerdy or whatever; teenagers am I right?
Anyways I have recently taken interest in coins again, especially looking for error coins in change; I find myself inspecting every single coin that comes into my hands now haha. I don't really know what to look for now, especially when it comes to mint errors and PMD. I hope I can learn from you all, and hopefully you would be willing to impart your knowledge onto me. I have a few coins I have questions about which I will be posting and I hope you guys help by telling me not only that the coin is not a mint error, but also why or how you can tell.
I tried posting to Coin Talk with some questions a few days ago but I was met with a swift ban, and I hope you all are more noobie friedly.

Thanks for your time,
~Andrew

Hello ,i am new to the art of coin collecting. I enjoy hunting for errors and rare coins. even if they are not high dollar value coins.just being able to catch a flaw in the mints process is amazing to me . I prefer to look for modern coin errors because I think that now there is less chance of errors coming out with the tech that is available now compared to the 50s.thank you for taking the time to read my introduction.
