I've got a handful of clad Ike dollars I think have a chance to grade well enough to be worth sending in and stashing away. One of them is a 1971 with good luster and strike with minor marks but there's something going on with the rim. I've attached photos. It's a tiny worn ring all the way around the edge of the coin and I'm wondering if this would be considered disqualifying rim damage. It has to, right? If not what is it? It doesn't seem like damage that would happen due to dropping or mishandling.

I'm thinking it won't be worth sending in with that rim but does anyone have any thoughts on this? Thank you for the help!

to CCF. Not sure about the rim thing. When you send in,do you mean like PCGS or NGC? If so that coin is nowhere near a high enough grade to send in. As a general rule, the retail value of the coin slabbed needs to be at least $150.

I am not sure what I am seeing on the rim. It could be slot machine damage.
