Indo- Greeks or Indo-Scythians Hermaios type posthumous tetradrachm (after 70 BC) Bare-headed, diademed bust of king right, Greek legend around: BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΣΩTHPOΣ EPMAIOY (Basileos Soteros Hermaiou ... of King Hermaios, the Saviour) Zeus enthroned three-quarters left, holding sceptre in left hand and bestowing blessing with right hand, Kharoshthi legend around: maharajasa tratarasa / heramayasa
It's not entirely understood why Hermaios' coins were copied for so long after his death, although some theorize that he may have been at least partially from Scythian stock. This is an earlier copy in good silver; they are also known in billon with more schematized art, until the final issue in bronze by Kujula Kadphises, around 30 AD.
