to the farm... Think you can buy those in the gift shop under the Arch. Missouri has a big head when it comes to their Arch, still think Illinois was right in wanting to put Paul Bunyan and a croquet ball and mallet in East St. Louis, woulda been great Urban Renewal! (I live in Central MO) They pasted these on circulating quarters back when we were to vote on the design, this one passed by a landslide...so much for a "majority vote of the Peee-pulll" as Ms. Pelosi would say... And to answer your question, you sure it is .999 silver? It is made to imitate the S mint proof which was either a clad or a silver at pre-65 composition of .90 silver. You need to weigh the coin, because the edge is "silvered" it is mimicking a silver proof and should weigh 6.25gr. I suspect that is an off metal replica containing NO silver, a tourist gimmick, we be the Show Me State, we are known for raising mules and tall stories! Wasn't that great philosopher and showman PT Barnum born here? Ya know, that "Sucker every minute" guy?

Quote: Wasn't that great philosopher and showman PT Barnum born here? Ya know, that "Sucker every minute" guy? Nope, he was born and died in Connecticut. That doesn't mean there isn't a sucker born every minute, whether he actually said that or not.

That's a very general question. There are things to look for everywhere. What year was the IHC?
