Good afteenoon all, I normally toss the newer cents to the side and go through later for errors when I'm hunting. But for some reason I grabbed this one and looked at it. Immediately I noticed the Reverse and said ok that's just,from the wrapper, but then I turned it over to lool at,the obverse and the complete "IN" isqmissing and so,is the "L" in Liberty. What,do you all think happened here and should I hold onto it?

@Shellioness1, first welcome to CCF. Second, I agree that your coin was not fully struck up because of a grease-filled die. Yours might rise to the level of enough detail missing that there would be a premium. Keeping it in a 2x2 is a good idea.

Wow!! Thank you all for your comments. I am putting this in a protector right away. I am also going to post this Quarter I have. It's hot some strange stuff going on. Please go to my posts I have quite a few off ones lol. The k you very much for your knowledge on this coin. Like I said something just told me to grab it and take a closer look. I guess when you love doing what we all do you naturally pick up senses on this kind of stuff am I right? Talk soon!

Hi I'm the new guy Tim I thought at first it got end rolled in coin roll machine twice But it could be added to wexlers as a new discovery atrubuted to you . You be in the history books of error coins. Yours truly Tim
