Hi folks I have a decent 1999d cent with extra Columns. I thought that I have the md vs doubled dies settled. I think I need help on this one.

I think the extra columns you are seeing are the columns that were added purposely to create a 3d effect. They are on every Memorial cent. Not a doubled die.

Just as the building has rows of extra columns, the coins also show them on the reverse:

With die polishing these lines may weaken, but they are all part of the design of the hub.
