Im still new at this but I was checking my change and came across this 1924 penny. Reverse side on the "E" in ONE there is a die chip (im guessing thats what it is) on the lower half that makes it look like a little "E". Does that add any value or is it a common thing on some coins?

I agree with coop. Looks like you can almost pluck it off. Die chips don't usually look like they can pluck off

It does appear to be a die chip. What's going on with the first (U) in PLURIBUS?

and to CCF!

Huh, CCF won't let me post just a capital u?

It doesn't come off, I just checked. As for the "U" idk, figured it was just damage. I hadnt really looked at it. But ill take a closer pic of it and post it.

I tried to get as close and clear as possible. Would that be post mint damage or lamination maybe? Idk you guys r better at this than me, I'm still learning. Sorry my pics keep coming out sideways.

Looks like another piece of debris struck onto your coin. The struck through has been on your coin from day one. So it hangs on tight even though it has been in circulation all these years.

Don't pick it off this time. I made the mistake of not being exact with my words. If you see something that looks like you can pluck it off, DONT!! Lol.... you destroyed your error coin. Smh... lol...
