1887 Silver Dollar....possible Error?

Grahama New Member United States 32 Posts	Posted 05/24/2018 4:11 pm I have a 1887 silver dollar that looks like there's a strange letter "s" on the front and some other strange things happening on the back. This coin does not have die breaks, it has die cracks which do not add value. A die BREAK means that a chunk of the die has broken OFF. If the piece is still present with vertical displacement you have a retained die break. If the piece and fallen away then it is a die break. If the pice that has broken off includes the edge of the die it is called a Cud. A die crack means the die has cracked but the entire die is still present.
