Not my note, but I was given permission to photograph it... I understand this is a rare one...

The prefix is "GOG"
The 0 is part of the quantity printed.
This was part of 100,000 Test Notes printed.
Don't know how many survived but
according to Charlton, Geoffrey Bell sold
one at auction in 2012 for $23,000.

A rare bird indeed.

Cool note, thanks for sharing!

Any reason why this particular prefix doesn't show up on the CoinsandCanada website? Is it because it's a test note?

This GOG note is NOT a test note printed on the Luminus hybrid substrate, it is a regular note. The range of test notes is GOG 0100000-0199999 (100,000 notes). The serial shown above is just outside of this range.

Your right polymer, Don't know how I missed that.
I even looked at the range of the numbers.
Sorry SPP, you will have to tell your friend that
he has the regular $5.00 bill with the GOG prefix.
Not worth much above face value.
There were 9.9 million of these printed.

The prices on some of these test notes and rarer # makes prices realize on the coin side look really cheap
