Hi!

Can you grade / comment this beauty? dunno how but the struck and tone made a blue eye effect. Also the die has gotten a wrong mixed alloy if I'm right...

Txs!

My guess would be that someone used a marker on the eyes. What makes you wonder about the alloy, the streaks on the obverse?

Appears to have seen some light circulation.

Wow, that's a nice looking brown example....I like it. Make the reverse lighting the same as the obverse - you're cutting through the patina. Not really worth anything more than a buck IMO but I admit I would have probably kept it too for the eye appeal.

EDIT- Oh, it's not an alloy error. These are plated, that's just how it toned.

Ronzo, maybe someone rubbed the plating off with something, like an eraser? Unlikely it came from the mint that way.

Hey Steve! no man! the struck on the eye is kinda diamond cut and silver look, its a deep struck. I believe that it was so deep that caught other material and evolved to that effect.

Cheers!
