VERY steady hands, homemade tripod would be better, some good threads of them no this forum somewhere. 4. The macro setting looks like a flower I think. I am not that great at taking pictures of my coins, but have the best luck using sun light as my lighting. vermontensium Moderator United States 16679 Posts	Posted 07/08/2008 12:42 am On most digital cameras there is macro and sometimes, super macro. I use an Olympus 500UZ 6 megapixel 10x optical zoom. It has both. It does look like a little flower on most digitals. Sometimes, you can get 1/2inch or less to coin for super detail. For general photos I agree with spedward: flash off, steady hand, 5-7 inches from coin should be enough. Natural diffused sunlight (sun light thru a white curtain) works great or put a white bed sheet up, that works too. swcoin.ecrater.com Report this Post to the Staff
