Does Acetone have any effect on Zinc? If the Copper Clad is broken and the zinc is exposed does the Acetone have any effect in retarding or accelerating zinc rot?
Rest in Peace

Acetone removes/and destroys organic materials, but does nothing to retard/destroy metallic corrosion and its effects. Zinc, once the corrosive effect starts will continue its course, not inhibited unless completely removed from all contaminants (impossible), next would be a coating as polyurethane which may further react?, unknown? If its there, its a goner. Like carbon spots...

Acetone will do nothing to inhibit zinc-rot.
