Let's see....

1. Surf the RCM website.

2. Sharp stick in the eye.

Tough call.

I agree. It's never been a good one to browse. The good news is that they hace a popup survey every now and then. Just keep going back and give them the right kind of feedback. I get to do it about every week or two. Over and over again.

Not a tough call at all. I will take the stick in the eye please. This is one example where it is better to go to the middle man to look for RCM product. Going to an on line dealer like Gatewest or ColonialAcres make for a far less frustrating expereience than that horrid RCM website.

You know, I went there to try and do them a free favor. I wanted to get on an announcement/press release mailing list so that I could post them here, thereby promoting them. I gave up and left.

Why anyone in their right mind would build a complete flash site is beyond me. It's just silly and frustrating as you can see.

FYI, the ANA site isn't much better. I honestly don't know what these webmasters are thinking when they build sites like this.

I've always had much better success just calling the 1-800 number. Nine out out of 10 times you get to speak to someone who really knows their stuff and you're done in less than 10 minutes.

Sure but then you have to know what you want when you call.

The entire purpose of the website is to allow people to shop, which is pretty much impossible. I guaranty they are losing a tremendous amount of retail sales.

I was looking for the breast cancer quarter when I went there.

I searched breast... zero results. Huh? I just saw the official press release on another site!

So for the heck of it I search breast cancer... and it comes up after about 40 seconds on broadband.

Makes no sense.

From the 2005 Annual Report:

"In 2005, the Mint launched a revitalized web presence. The new e-commerce site is fully flash-animated and features the latest platforms. It provides a user-friendly shopping experience for online customers. In fact, mint.ca won the Best Transactional Website Award in the 2005 Boomerang Contest for interactive communications in Quebec. Supported by engaging e-marketing campaigns and featuring micro sites for individual commemorative circulation coin launches, the site has inspired an unprecedented number of visits and boosted sales substantially..."

Clearly, things have changed since then. The major issue I have is with speed and the fact that everything is packed into this small 640x400 window as if we all still run on a commodore-64.

But I know for a fact they will be making changes. Soon.

I don't know if this will help, but I have an account here, and have activated it. Maybe you will find it useful:
Monnaie Collection Royale. It is in french, and I believe inglish also. I haven't looked, yrt.

Marc, I get around that little "window" by using the "magnifier" on XP. It has several Powers, so you can distort it, untili is un-recognizable. I use level 2 mostly, and level 3 sparingly. Maybe it will help.
