I'd appreciate any help in an ID on this coin. It's 20mm in diameter and quite thin.

It has Islamic writing set in a square. Maybe post-Mongol central Asia?

Are you sure you don't mean 20mm?
20cm is close to 8"

Dave, I see your other thread has been locked.

Not much to go on, what with the wear. Long shot here, and probably wrong, but here's a comparison below...the extended flan on the illustrated coin could account for its additional dimensions (25mm versus your coin's 20mm).

Yes, that's it! The arabesques and the blundered Kalima had me thinking Anatolia but I was stuck at that point. Excellent detective work.
