You'll need to weigh your 1943 to be sure of the value
And in 1983 they where already plating copper
I'm by no means a pro but it looks like corrosion beginning
That 1909 is a nice find
Congrats!

The 1943 looks like it is just stained. The weight will tell you what it is. 2.7g for a steel cent and 3.1g for copper.

The 1983 looks normal, including the plating bubbles on the obverse, upper left.

The 1990-D looks normal to me. I don't get into whether they may be "brass" plated instead of copper and I don't think many others do, either.

The 1909 VDB is a good looking lower grade coin and the best of the bunch!

1943 - plated, worth 1 cent

1983 and 1990D worth 1 cent

1909 - That's a nice one, EF-40, $5-10

to CCF. Neither brekz2 or Aguanga qualify to buy sell or trade here yet, please read the rules. The 1909 looks odd to me,like a faked coin. Does anyone else think so?

1983 and 1990-D are copper plated zinc. There are a few that look more yellow that are called "brass plate" but neither of yours look like that to me.

So does the brass plate and over dipped look similar? Thought mine was just cleaned wrong?
