The year is printed on the bill isn't it? Look on the front. Not sure exactly where it's located on a twenty.

Somewhere in the 1928-1934 range.

That makes sense. I didn't notice who it was until just now.

I was looking at a story online about money found in a closed in ceiling, they said they were all from before 1950. To my non-expert eyes they looked a little newer to me. Quote: Somewhere in the 1928-1934 range. But I guess not.

Cool, so it's a totally legit possibility. I thought I might have been sniffing out a fake story.

They look like they're from the 1920s or 30s.

Possibly so. The first one looks like a LGS, so it's definitely pre-war, but without the series number it's just speculation on all the others.

The thing about that image though, is the bills are stacked in such a way that there might only be about a dozen legit 1930s $20s in there... the rest could be newer, or heck, even modern $1 bills.
Regardless, every time I see a stash like this, I imagine the hypothetical... what if the original owner stashed a box full of double eagles--or even silver dollars--rather than a box full of paper!

Bobby we would need the signature combos to get a rough printing date.
The year on the bill has nothing to do with when it was printed.
If you can get a list of series years and signature combos we could figure out roughly what the timeline would be for when these were printed.
Just because it says 1934 on it does not mean it was printed in 1934.
Some 20s with series 1934 on them were printed in the 1950s.

The majority of them look like series 1934 notes.. Could be some 28's mixed in though.
