Thanks all for the awesome feedback, it's honestly what I expected to hear. I don't have a problem with a collector trying to make some money from their investment - my issue is that on ebay there are people willing to pay $30 for an ungraded 1932 Washington quarter that is listed as "BU" and looks like it has been cleaned. I wouldn't mind that coin just to fill out my Whitman Washington quarter books but not at that price.

Crazyb0, could you recommend any other auction websites?

do you have a local coin shop in your area, or a gold and silver pawn shop. at either place you should be able to find a good mix of dates at close to spot price..

Unfortunately we're in the middle of the Mojave Desert and 40 minutes from the closest inklings of civilization. There's a gold/silver shop about 90 minutes out but everything is "incredibly circulated".
Rest in Peace

Check ebay bulk silver quarter sales. You could fill a lot of holes by buying for the silver value plus 10-20%.

Just a suggestion - but APMEX sells bags of circulated coins. You could not only probably fills some holes, but also have fun looking for verities and maybe sell some of those to recoup some money.

I don't know where that number came from, but .900 silver quarters have a current melt value of $2.97 (as of this post).

You are correct, Thank you I did put in the wrong price. I appreciate you correcting it. Also to Kubruceiii I apologize for miss leading you, I should not be saying anything after dinner time as my mind goes into dumb mode for the night.

No worries! As for the melt value, I guess even the worst pre-65 quarters are worth at least a few bucks!

No problem. Actually, .900 silver coins have a bit of an advantage because of their base metallic value over other denominations/types.
