Found this yesterday and actually tossed it in the dud pile but immediately thought to myself something didn't look right. Just sucks it's a little stained. My other one is primo. I soaked it in acetone and got some off but part of the stain makes it look like he still has a neck from certain angles but they are both totally gone. I always wanted twins!

Notice how flat the bust is? Even the ear has virtually no definition. That die was in need of retirement! That die appears to be seriously over polished. Also looks like a little Struck Through Grease too.

I didn't know the mints used that grade of sandpaper

Serious over polished dies. Neat find.

Very nice find! It was caused by an Over Polished Die. They're most likely trying to remove a Die Clash. Definitely a keeper!
