I three, see too many crosshatch marks on face/cheek which is a killer for MS, so in AU55-58 range, BUT...it may be Set. cleaned too?

Tonight I just finished reviewing 6,000 1960-D Jefferson nickels (coin roll hunting) so my opinion on 60-D is fresh. My effort was over a period of several weeks as I'm also working through several other years as well. Your nickel is nicer than most of what I reviewed in my roll hunting. I learned that the flat spot you see in your nickel at the ear and lower cheek is where the planchet did not fully fill the die when it was struck. It is not wear. There is a really nice PCGS video on nickel grading where they reference that fact. I placed several just like the one you have into my keeper pile. Especially consider that your nickel is showing a hint of one step on the Monticello which is a "nice to have" for 60-D nickels. So let me set the perspective, out of 6,000 60-D nickels, I only kept around 100. What I just finished wrapping tonight will be set free on my weekly trip to the local banks.
Rest in Peace
