1888 Grade Opinions Please - Coin Community Forum

Hounddog Bill Pillar of the Community Canada 1275 Posts	Posted 06/06/2018 12:01 pm This is a recent purchase and I'd generally wait until I receive the coin but my camera is in for repairs waiting for parts on back order and I don't think I'd get better pictures anyway. I don't see any contact marks and it has a strong strike. Is this the type of coin that would receive different grades from PCGS and ICCS? I get the impression from earlier post that ICCS only goes so high on RB coins where PCGS will be tougher on the colour but you can receive a higher grade. Opinions on grade please? (Maybe one for PCGS and one for ICCS if you think they'd be different). Would PCGS call this one brown? Cheers, Bill Report this Post to the Staff
