I am in need of some help. This was left to me by my Grand Dad. I have sent pics to both of the Soldiers Homes in Kansas, and to all State Historical places. No one seems to have no idea what it is or could have been used for. Would like to know when it could have been used. I have seen 2 others on-line. It is 1.5 mm thick, 28.5 mm Dia. Wt 6.128 grams. Thanks for your help.

A real head scratch-er tokens are not an area I am experienced in. Hopefully, someone somewhere will have an answer.

It looks like a commissary token, can't tell you much else.

The old style vets or soldier/sailor home generally used tokens for the items they good buy in the small stores in each home a limited number of cigars and cig brands pipe tobacco shaving stuff etc. They were given so many a month or could buy more if they had cash coming in. Tokens were used to keep the employees honest in the book keeping etc.
