mikem007: yours looks so much like a doubled die. I just can't see the difference in some coins from a so called machine doubled and a doubled die. This is why I just put them in an Album and forget them.

Great info, thanks. I agree, the doubling appears to be mechanical. Wouldn't you expect to see more evidence in other devices, if it is a "die bounce" or "die shift", though? I put the dime away for now and focus on my Morgans. Thanks again,

I'm going to place this here now, that enough examples of what Hub Doubling and RPMs are NOT...Let's look at what IS!I saw this earlier, and thought back to an explanation Coop posted the other day that needs to be hammered into the brain cells of error and variety hunters until they bleed!  You catch that? Where do your eyes look? For a true Doubled die, they track to the center of the device in question. Take a look at this RPM posted earlier today. It is a similar type event, but I noticed where my eyes were drawn right away. LooK:  Any MD event, scroll up a few, where does your eye look to on the device, it is drawn to the edges, weird, but true. Here's one:
