Recently, I made a post about finding 1963 DDR 5. http://goccf.com/t/320614
That coin is not DDR-005 (possibly DDR-017 or WDDR-081).

I did find DDR 005 yesterday and has all the markers. Anyway, just wanted to let you know about the mistake. Here are photos of DDR-005 or WDDR-010 (same die). http://varietyvista.com/01b%20LC%20...3PDDR005.htm

Doubling strongest on "ONE CENT" with light doubling on "UNI" and "OF AMERICA"

Thanks for looking and I appreciate any comments

An interesting point on the V.V. listing that is not mentioned is that the descriptions tell you where doubling is located.
http://varietyvista.com/01b%20LC%20...3PDDR005.htm
The description tells us:

Quote:
Description: Strong spread on ONE CENT, with light spread on UNI of UNITED, OF, and AME of AMERICA.
Reported by: Delma K. Romines
Comments: Proof.

It shows images of both the DDR and other areas of the coin which are not showing a doubled die. Note on the EPU?

There appears to be some slight MD or plat field doubling between these areas. This will show on one coin or more, but because it is not mentioned in the description, we should not assume that this is hub doubling Same also on the left base of the Memorial building.

That is called flat field doubling. Because of the proof striking process the devices get flattened a bit more often and show MD and FFD more often. These same coins can have all three. MD, FFD and also be a doubled die. So by showing all areas of the coin they maybe confusing the matter. Just the description item will be the doubled die items to consider. Hope this helps.
