An interesting point on the V.V. listing that is not mentioned is that the descriptions tell you where doubling is located.

The description tells us:

There appears to be some slight MD or plat field doubling between these areas. This will show on one coin or more, but because it is not mentioned in the description, we should not assume that this is hub doubling Same also on the left base of the Memorial building.

That is called flat field doubling. Because of the proof striking process the devices get flattened a bit more often and show MD and FFD more often. These same coins can have all three. MD, FFD and also be a doubled die. So by showing all areas of the coin they maybe confusing the matter. Just the description item will be the doubled die items to consider. Hope this helps.
