Hi All,

First time post here, trying to figure out the origin/ what this coin is. It has been sitting in my collection for a number of years but I haven't been able to ID it. On the front it has an intricate design of a dragon. On the reverse it has some Chinese or Japanese writing. It was found in a CoinStar machine at ShopRite.

Hope it's something cool!

I believe it is a ten cash coin from China, but not sure which province. The second picture is actually upside down. You can see a faint 'TEN CASH' underneath the dragon. Can you tell what letters are at the top above the dragon?

Chinese Empire, 10 cash, early 20th century.

There's a lot of similar provincial types, though, and, sadly, from those photos I can't figure out which one it could be specifically.

There is a series of coins from the Hupeh Province. Here is the Numista link that describes your coin more.

Thank you all! It appears to be a Hu-Peh Province 10 Cash Chinese Copper Coin. I'm seeing them go for about $15 to $30 online. Thanks for your help.
