Pretty sure the dot is a plating bubble. The missing piece of the D is more than likely PMD. Can't tell with the pictures.

OK thanks for the info and IDK the coin looks really good in real life so IDK how the D would get a mark like that

The little "dot" is just a Plating Bubble. And the mint mark has Post Strike Damage (happened after it left the U.S. Mint). You can see pushed over and flattened metal. Worth face value, since it's only damage. http://www.error-ref.com/gas-bubbles/
