Coin roll hunting I came upon this 1975 Lincoln with a weird stamp on it. The rear has no impression but the front...well, see for yourself. Is this anything special?

This isn't an error. This is a state counterstamp. This is technically Post Strike Damage, because it happened after it left the U.S. Mint. Although, it's collectable to those who collect counterstamps.

It's called a counterstamp. Someone stamped it after it left the mint. to see other counterstamps, check here http://goccf.com/t/126486

They would buy a set of these counter stamps, get a roll of cents and sell the sets to the rubes.

Very nice Bobby. Big fan of the sport set of counterstamps.
