I would say it's somewhere around the AU range.

@Errors_and_Varietys, is that " Machine Doubling" on the reverse or just the lighting in the photo... ONE CENT

@bossvibe, post more reverse photos. From your bottom photo (above), it sure appears you have Machine Doubling going on. I just got done reading a "doubling" post in the Main Coin Forum section http://goccf.com/t/320844 and almost feel like an expert. Over 200 photos. Wicked cool read.

Mikem007, that's indeed Machine Doubling, since the devices are reduced in size and is shelflike in appearance.

So. Help me understand. Does Machine Doubling give a coin more value? Is it considered an Error or a Variety? I noticed PCGS charges $65 base price just to have an error coin graded which is a steep price to pay if there isn't a bump in monetary value to be had.

Here you go, closest I can get on the color, hope this helps a little. I do see doubling on the date, Machine Doubling most likely.

It's hard to see the high points with these photos. Could be AU-58 or possibly MS-64. Either way, neat to have as an example of MD!
