I was looking for image for the FS-104 and found one they graded as a 104, that isn't that die at all. It had the same rim marks, but not the doubled die. Second example I've found that they graded by die chips that were not the correct doubled die. Somebody's slacking off down there. Report this Post to the Staff

When I did a side by side comparison on the image of the questionable 004, I discovered why nothing matched correctly. The die was polished and it removed most of the doubling, others it made smaller. it removed all the markers. So while it was the correct die, you would have never thought it was correct. I finally figured out what happened to the die. So the maker on the obverse was correct. But I found some others that were listed wrong. But I did manage to get so earlier die states for doubled dies that I didn't have before. (002 EDS) Report this Post to the Staff
