Gotta give a shout out to CCF member Errors and Varieties. He had a giveaway last week where he offered some hard to find Lincoln Cent varieties. Since I have never found a Doubled Die cent and didn't have one I jumped on this one. The coolest part is this is one I can actually see! This listed on Variety Vista as 2015 1c DDO-001 Stage B and on Wexler's site as WDDO-006 "Best Of" Variety. http://varietyvista.com/01e%20LC%20...1%20cent.htmhttp://doubleddie.com/1542214.htmlOkay here we go. Here are a few photos. This is about the best I can do with my tube extenders and 55mm macro lens. The spread in the date is pretty big. The photo above shows the spread on the 15 pretty well. There is also spreading in the 20. This next photo shows the date a little darker. Take a look below the 0. You can see a faint line coming off the bottom of the 0. This is the die crack that makes it a stage B. On Liberty you can see how "Fat" the letters are. There is some decent spreading too. Most evident in the TY. Next is IGWT. Most of it is the "Fat" letters again with minor spreading in TRUST most evident in UST. My photos don't do this part justice. The reverse has no markers. Thanks again E&V. It probably would've been another couple of years before I found one in the wild. Thanks for looking...Mont. As always all comments welcome. PS. If you were lucky enough to respond to E&V's giveaway in time and would like to share the coin you received. Feel free to post them in this thread. Edited by MontCollector 06/18/2018 02:45 am

Dear "E-n-V" I took the deal I can not refuse Thanks for you guys kindness. I have been Coin star all the LSC and never look through it at all..i will try to look through it from now on. My problem with LSC and LWC is I can not tell by looking at the letter thickness. I will try to learn how to recognize that. Thanks again for you guys kindness

You're very welcome! You'll have a good learning piece to learn on. You'll see the true doubling on this genuine Doubled Die Obverse and you'll know how to distinguish between different types of doubling. Maybe that will get you to look for Doubled Dies on the Lincoln Shield Cents.

Very Nice Mont Quote: The coolest part is this is one I can actually see! I agree I can barely seen anything without my scope. BTW I have found a couple of those DDO's too. After about 6 months of never finding a Double Die I was gifted a few DDO's and DDR's from a very generous CCF member (Sudz) as well. It was sooo amazing to see them in hand and how beautiful they looked under my scope. I kept them on my desk so I could keep checking them and learning. You did a great thing

Thank you CoinCents! I was proud to give away a few for free. Sometimes if I get lucky, I'll find these on a regular basis.
