I was looking at some 2006 pennies today and noticed something different about this one on the initials vdb. Not sure it's it damage or some sort of error.

Looks like it was etheir Over Polished or Struck Through a small amount of Grease.

It would have to be polished off. Those devices are incuse on the coin and raised on the die. So it could not be a die fill issue.

with coop wouldn't be a grease filled as they are incised. Over polished is my guess

My first guess was over polished. I didn't think that being Struck Through Grease was likely.
