Not sure about the mint mark, but better to get the experts on it. Thanks for the help.

IMO the mm has been flattened rather than being a RPM.

Coop has a seemingly inexhaustible supply of photos that make the complex seem simple.

I figured out years ago it was easier to see something in an image, rather than try to describe something. Image count on my host is 8,121 right now.

It's a normal mint mark with flattened metal from circulation wear.

I agree with those above that this coins mintmark showed no signs of being repunched.
Wexler though , does list nine different rpm's for 1929-S , including the die #1 Coop illustrated above.

Hey coop. Do you keep all your photos on a separate cd or hard drive? I bet you could put all your pictures on an cd and sell them for educational purposes. Like 2 bucks a piece. I'm sure someone could use it. If anything keep them on another cd just to make sure you don't lose it all if your computer breaks

Most of the images are provided from different sources. I've not taken all of them. Just edited and when I see something that needs to be covered, I add the information on the image. They are so handy to explain coin information. I probably make 10 new images a day. More if something special is found. Today about 40 were added. Images of reverse clash rotation. But there's YouTube links on my signature line. Plus the educational image thread. I'm still adding images to that thread. You can go to page two to see new ones added.
