Why do I always get the hard ones? :D At least you can see this one! And Finally it's a DDO. Let me know what you think it is, if you have any idea. I was thinking VV DDO-005? Maybe? Edited by Coppergold 06/22/2018 05:35 am

Sorry, as I'm new to this, but what am I missing? This looks like a completely normal LMC. Their appears to be no shelving or doubling at all. Can someone explain to me by marking what makes this a DDO. On ones that I think its a DDO it is a MD. This one looks completely normal. Thanks for your help.

Quote: Sorry, as I'm new to this, but what am I missing? If I'm correct, this variety has extra thickness in the date. It appears to match 006 if he has the die markers. Click the link above & you'll see the different version for that year. I personally have number 004

On newer Lincoln Cent doubled dies, ones made with the single squeeze hubbing, having separation lines is rare. Usually doubling shows as extra thickness. Since dies are no longer made with multiple hubbing, the only way a doubled die can occur is if the die or the working hub moves during the one hubbing, which would smear the design causing extra thickness yet no separation lines. I agree that this looks more like DDO-006, try to match die markers.
