Correct Method For Using Acetone And Verdi-Care?

The Silver Searcher Pillar of the Community United States 1388 Posts	Posted 06/23/2018 2:23 pm Hey all, I've got a 1983 DDR-001 LMC that I pulled from circulation a few years ago with a growing verdigris problem, along with some other LMC/LWCs with verdigris and crud stuck on them. I have acetone, distilled water, and Verdi-Care, and now (finally!) the time to take care of this. Can someone walk me through the proper way of using these products to conserve some of these coins? Is it distilled water rinse, acetone bath, and then Verdi-Care? And how should I apply them, and for what duration? I'd appreciate any help you guys can give me. Report this Post to the Staff

mcshilling Pillar of the Community Canada 9156 Posts	Posted 06/24/2018 09:20 am When I use it I , acetone bath - enough to cover the coin, time depends on how bad it is but I would say an hour. Rinse in distilled water then Verdi-care as directed. Report this Post to the Staff
